Celtic delivered some of the prospects during the January transfer window on loan. Conor Hazard, Jonathan Afolabi, lee O’Connor and Grant Savoury departed the club. One participant who did not quit though, was summertime signing Luca Connell, who joined that the Hoops in the summer from Bolton. Connell, who is still only 18, was connected with a move to Bolton and Sunderland, with Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas Tweeting that both sides were to sign the player. Celtic boss Neil Lennon looked keen for the player. “It may be helpful for Luca to escape and get some matches. He’s playing well with the development team.” He explained, as quoted by the Scottish Sun. However, no movement occurred, and Connell remains at Celtic Park. As it should be remembered that the participant has some expertise, what happens next with Connell will certainly be intriguing.

Last season he made 12 appearances to get Bolton. That should give him a small leg-up on his teammates at the Celtic development group, which is made up of youth players that don’t have experience.
That Connell is remaining at Celtic for the rest of the season, the player should look to impress in the evolution side to try to make his breakthrough.
One participant that Connell should be looking to emulate is Jeremie Frimpong. When he joined the club from Manchester City in the summer, Frimpong was likely predicted to be a development squad player to the Hoops. He has become a first-regular beneath Neil Lennon, that hasn’t been afraid to play him although he is just 19.Connell can do exactly the same that he has overcome the injury issue that Lennon discussed. Should Connell create the breakthrough this year, not leaving in the January window might be the best thing that ever happened for him.
